The timer function

Here is our best attempt at a family photo using the timer.

Caught!!!

Henry is not really allowed to play with Owen's new castle because it has a lot of little parts. Owen thinks it is because the castle is his his his!!!!
In a moment when Thomas, Owen and I were otherwise engaged Henry snuck away with one destination in mind. As you can see he was caught, but as always, had nothing but a smile to say about it.

Weather man and other diversions

Owen went to Fernbank with dad for his one on one time. His favorite feature of the museum was the "Be the Weatherman" station but there were some birds, dinosaurs and fish that caught his eye as well.

Shih Tzu Christmas

Here are a few attempts to get a picture of our other children (our dogs) for the Christmas card. The first is classic Zoomy. He loves to show anyone he can his belly.

Owen's Birthday

It has been a crazy month, so I have fallen a bit behind on the blog. Here are some pics at the fourth birthday parties. Owen's birthday seemed to last a week long. There was a party at MY Gym (a pirate theme) and a party at school. He enjoyed having his best friend Jenelle (in the red dress) at both of them. It was quite a festival of events.

Life right now

Henry would not stand still for the 18month session today and the more crazy he got, the more crazy Owen got. They did manage to get a very cute pic of Henry, and of course matched with the print form Owen's session a few weeks ago, here is life as we know it now.

Great Grandma's 90th Birthday Party

My Grandmother, Alice Mills, turned 90 this weekend. We all went to celebrate. Owen was more than happy to help her blow out her candles.

Owen-The Male Model (aka Hambone)

These are some bootleg copies of some pics we had taken of Owen this weekend at the picture people. He is a ham to be sure. They came out really well. There were like 20 more where these came from.

A Day with the Arts

Owen loved Family Day at the Arts Center. He tried his lips at the the brass instruments (toot!), bowed and picked the strings instruments (zin!) and made a rubber band plastic cup guitar of his own (boing!) He really loved the Chinese terra cotta warriors, maybe he felt a kinship due to the cardboard sword he made. He painted a green blob creature on the mural wall. Of course, he got the front row seat at storytime.

Pumpkin Patch- Take 2

We went to Athens this weekend. We thought we would take another shot at the pumpkin patch because Washington farms is just too great to be missed. Owen had his hair sprayed in Halloween colors at a festival earlier in the day. Then we hit the farm. We had a MUCH better time. Owen raced some trikes and Henry loved, adored, never wanted to leave the corn bin. We went on the cow train, saw some pig races, took a hay ride. All in all it was a great day.

The Pumpkin Patch- with some Cranky Kids

The boys were incredibly cranky this weekend, so we thought we might get a change of scenery and head to the pumpkin patch. It turned the mood...some. We still had a good measure of crying and whining, but in a wide open field it does not seem as bad.

Owen loved his face painted bat. Henry thought that the little pumpkins were balls and hurled them all around. Owen loved the patch but absolutely refused to smile for my idilic pumpkin shots. Oh well..we got a great pumpkin and some ok photos to remember it by. Here is hoping whatever moon of cranky was over our house this weekend will move right on by.

The Cozy Coupe and T Ball

Some shots from tBall
I hit the Wal-Mart clearance sale the other day and got a bargain on the Cozy Coupe. Only 15 bucks!! Henry loves it. In fact when his brother comes near it he screams at him to go away. He sits behind the wheel going beep, beep, beep. Ignore the dirt on the face. This was just after a good tumble in the grass.
