Henry's first day of school

As sad as it was for me, Henry seemed unaffected by our departure this morning on this, his first day of school. It even looks like he was waving good-bye. Henry is now a certified member of the baby room at the same school Owen attends. Alas, maternity leave could not last forever and now he is on to the business of growing up too fast.

Kansas

We are just back from Henry's first plane ride to Kansas where he met his Great Grandmother Esther for the first time.
Henry also had a chance to meet his cousin Megan, who is about 1 month his senior. One of the picture shows Sheila and her twin sister, both with their brand new grandchildren. That was way cool.

As for Owen, he was a handful as always. He had an awesome time. He particularly liked the day we spent at the Wichita Zoo where, among other things, he fed some sheep and admired the giraffes.

Welcome to My Gym

Owen having a grand time as always at My Gym.

All in the family

This weekend we went to my cousin's wedding and the whole family was together. Owen wore his Uncles out by climbing all over them and bossing them around. Henry, was as sweet as pie and did not want to be put down. He loved all the attention. We also had a chance to have a photo with all the family babies. They were tired and only mildly cooperative, but despite it all, it is a photo for the ages. We celebrated Mitchell's 20th b-day while he was here, and he proved himself the nicest uncle around by sharing his birthday cookies and ice cream with Owen.

Baby Boys back to back

So this is Owen at 4 weeks and Henry at five weeks. They sort of look alike, but they sort of don't.

I love my Grandaddy

In the earliest weeks of young Henry's life, no one had the magic touch that could put him to sleep except grandaddy

Happy Fourth

Hi All,
We had a great fourth. It was oh so suburban. We went to the 4th of July parade and Owen had a great time waving his flag. He liked the fire trucks and the civil war reanacters who fired off their guns. A true boy. Even Henry had a grand time and was awake for the whole thing.

Earlier that week we took part in the neighborhood Fourth of July parade. We decked out the double stroller and marched to the pool.

A great time was had by all.
