Babyland General

So before the new school year I needed to take one more trip, so we took a day trip to Cleveland, GA to see Babyland General (home of the Cabbage Patch kids for you non-GA folk). Don't ask me why Cleveland, GA. I could not tell you.

We had fun though. Owen thought it was too small. He said they needed more stuff. Henry would not stand still, but he walked through the whole place saying" Baby Baby Baby." If you are noticing that every recent picture of Henry is blurry, this is because he no longer stands still for photos.

Black Sand Beach

One of my favorite photo ops of the trip was the black sand beach. I had to be convinced to go because it was a really long drive on windy roads, but it was absolutely beautiful.

Aloha!

In part 1 of our Hawaiian blogging, Owen loved the shuffleboard court that was outside our house. He crowned himself scorer and would shout out the numbers from the side of the court.
Tuesday we went to a luau and had a feast and entertainment. Owen, as always, was attached at the hip to Uncle Mitchell who we now call the baby whisperer because Henry loves him too. Speaking of Henry, we think he has a future in Hula because he absolutely loved the show. He was cheering and dancing the whole time. He particularly like the cowboy number. He went nuts. It was if he was saying.."I want a hat vest and chaps!!!"....hmmmm, curious.

A long trip

The trip to Hawaii was brutal. 18 hours start to finish,Henry had fun at the airports, but not so much fun on the really long flights. We got there just in time for a Hawaiian sunset and Owen broke in the hammock first thing the next morning. A few days removed from the flight, I can say it was worth it.

Colonial Weapons

It should be no surprise that the highlight of my 3 year old sons trip to Williamsburg was the guns. I am a peaceful gun control type and I must say I was a bit put off by his love of the weaponry. It must be in that male blood. Anyway, you can see that he loved putting me in the stocks and running through the maze, but when the man in the saddlery let him hold his real gun, he was delighted. To up the machismo level I have added a pic of the fake tattoo he got on the way home at South of the Border.

Go Blue!

Uncle Mitchell keeps us stocked with Michigan baby gear. We decked out in it the other day. It was difficult to get them to stop moving long enough to get a shot. Owen, as you know, does not sit still very well, but the major culprit these days is Henry. That child is a maniac. He crawls faster than any baby I have ever seen and he is always on the go.

Mother's Day at the Aquarium

We spent Mother's Day taking our first trip to the Aquarium. It was a bit pricey so I went in thinking "This better be worth it." It was.

Owen's favorite part was petting the anomones. Mine was petting the bat rays. Henry's was watching the sea lions swim right up to him and Thomas...I don't know.
