Mother's Day at the Aquarium

We spent Mother's Day taking our first trip to the Aquarium. It was a bit pricey so I went in thinking "This better be worth it." It was.

Owen's favorite part was petting the anomones. Mine was petting the bat rays. Henry's was watching the sea lions swim right up to him and Thomas...I don't know.

Bounce House!

Henry's cousin Frances turned two this weekend and at her party he had a opportunity to explore his first bounce house. He loved it. He kept falling over and his brother kept bouncing into him, but he laughed the whole time.

The circus is in town

So we got free tickets to the Shriner's Circus. Owen was very unimpressed by the circus itself, (I think he had high expectations because of Barnum and Bailey a few months ago.) This was ok, since Henry was not particularly thrilled to be on our laps and keep wiggling away into the left over peanut shells. Owen did, however, LOVE the exceptional old fashioned midway. He was tall enough to ride the slightly more thrilling kiddie rides. I thought the little speedway and baby roller coaster might have scared him, but apparently I misjudged him. He was laughing his head off the whole time.

When Henry is wearing a particular Owen hand me down we can't resist the urge to do a comparative photo series. So have fun with Guess that baby!

At the baseball game.

The Dodgers were in town so Thomas and Owen headed off to Turner field last weekend to see them play the Braves. An added bonus was that kids were allowed to run the bases after the game. The minimum age to run was 4 years old, so Owen's super size paid off for him because Daddy was able to pass him off as a 4 year old. (Hopefully by the time he is 16 trying to pass for 21, it won't work as well.) The shot of him running the bases, in my very biased opinion, may be one of the best pictures ever taken.

Henry's Birthday Party

We had a great party for Henry's first birthday. All the neighborhood tots were in attendance along with some family and friends. He had a great time, but if I am correct Owen had even a better time. It was mania, but a great time was had by all. There was sandbox playing, climber climbing, cake eating and a ride in his new wagon by Godmama Rose.
